Every piece we create begins with carefully chosen materials — whether that’s cherished family jewellery being reinvented, or newly sourced precious metals and stones selected to suit your design.
We believe materials should never just be beautiful — they should be meaningful, durable, and appropriate for everyday wear.
Below is a guide to the metals and stones we most commonly work with.
Precious Metals-
We work with a range of precious metals, either supplied by you (sentimental or inherited jewellery) or newly sourced through trusted suppliers.
Gold (Yellow, White & Rose)
Gold remains one of the most popular choices for both memorial and legacy jewellery.
- Available in 9ct, 14ct and 18ct
- Warm, timeless appearance
- Suitable for everyday wear
- Can be recycled from existing jewellery to preserve sentimental value
White gold is typically rhodium plated for brightness, while rose gold offers a softer, romantic tone.
Silver
Silver is often chosen for lighter pieces or keepsakes.
- Bright, clean appearance
- More affordable option
- Best suited to occasional wear or display pieces
- Requires regular care to prevent tarnishing
If you’re unsure which metal is right for your piece, we’ll happily guide you based on lifestyle, design, and budget.
Stones & Gemstones
Stones can add colour, symbolism, or a focal point to your jewellery. You may choose to reuse stones from existing jewellery, or we can source new stones to suit your design.
Diamonds
A classic choice representing strength and eternity.
- Available in natural or lab-grown
- Wide range of sizes and cuts
- Suitable for all styles of jewellery
Coloured Gemstones
Sapphires, rubies, emeralds and other gemstones allow you to personalise your piece even further.
Many clients choose stones based on:
- Birth months
- Favourite colours
- Symbolic meanings
- Matching existing jewellery
Using Your Own Stones
If you already have stones within sentimental jewellery, these can often be carefully removed and reset into your new design — preserving their history while giving them new life.
Ethical Sourcing & Reuse
Where new materials are required, we work with responsible suppliers who prioritise ethical sourcing.
We also encourage reuse wherever possible — especially within Legacy and Memorial commissions — allowing family jewellery, wedding rings, or inherited pieces to be transformed into something new while retaining their emotional connection.
Unsure What’s Right for Your Piece?
Every commission is different.
Whether you’re redesigning heirloom jewellery, creating memorial pieces, or starting fresh with a bespoke design, we’ll help you choose materials that suit both your story and your lifestyle.
You’re always welcome to discuss options during your consultation — no pressure, just honest guidance.
